Day 2
SEX ON THE BEACH
It's day 2 and I reinvented an old favorite of mine which I had actually completely forgotten about until tonight.
The cocktail: Sex On The Beach!!
I had really forgotten how much I used to enjoy this cocktail.
It's super easy to make and YES it has more then 2 ingredients, go figure huh?
Up until a couple nights ago when I started this blog, I can't remember the last time I had an actual cocktail instead of a beer.
I have to say that I am very glad I took on this 365 day challenge, because I am really enjoying these mixed drinks.
Don't get me wrong, I sure do enjoy a nice cold beer......especially with baseball season right around the corner, but I have to admit that I am thoroughly getting a kick out of making these cocktails.

Tonight's drink I gave 4 stars out of 5.
I absolutely enjoyed this drink, but there's something about Husbands Hurricane that I like a little bit more.
Both drinks I would absolutely order at a bar hands down......just....not at the same time, don't want to give off the wrong impression.

I didn't get to try the Husband's Hurricane, although Adam really liked it... (still annoyed he didn't walk one down the street) but I REALLY liked this one.
ReplyDeletebut I'm a total prude and will only order them at your house, not in a bar. :-)
I learned about these in high school when we were on a family vacation to the Caribbean. It was evening, the island drums were playing, and a couple nearby mentioned "going for some sex on the beach" and I was horrified they were just announcing it like that! I realize now it was the perfect setting for it. I mean the drink, of course...
ReplyDeleteThat's a great story!! Ha ha!! I can only imagine the look on your face when you heard their announcement! That's great!!
DeleteI made this last night. It was delicious!!! I made it the way you described then for my next drink I substituted strawberry vodka for regular vodka, then my next one I added passion fruit rum. I was in heaven! And not at all on the floor, as I was expecting, after having 3 drinks one after the other, lol!!
ReplyDeleteYou're hilarious! I love it! I'm sooo glad that you enjoyed all 3 versions of this cocktail! I just may expirement next time as well!
DeleteThis one was my reward for being at a meeting for the last two days :) I give it 4 shots out of 5 - tasty but a bit too much sweetness. I could basically taste the peach and the pineapple, but the cranberry did give it a pretty color. Since I don't have the lovely hurricane glasses you have, it filled a Magic Hat beer glass to the rim :) I'll probably make this one again with maybe one shot of each of the juices. I'll let you know how that one goes down.
