Thank You Olivia!!!!

WOW, your creation is an absolute winner in my book (and my husbands!!).

Olivia emailed me with her very own nameless creation.  The recipe sounded amazing, so I asked her what I can call it, and she gave me full reigns to give it a name.

I have to say, when I sit here and sip this cocktail, it makes we think I'm sitting on my back porch swing (if I had one that is), watching the kids play in the backyard on a warm summer afternoon.

After my husband and I came up with a few different names, I decided to call it Back Porch Breeze.

I gave tonight's cocktail 5 shots out of 5.

This is a very refreshing cocktail!!.

The only different item I used that was not in Olivia's recipe was the kind of lemonade.

Her recipe called for regular lemonade.......which I totally thought I got.  When I got home from the store, I realized that what I had actually gotten was lemonade that was mixed with sparkling water.

The version that I made is amazing, and I'm absolutely sure that if I would have gotten the correct lemonade (minus the sparkling water part) it would be equally amazing!

Here is the recipe for a Back Porch Breeze:

  • 1 shot blueberry vodka
  • 1 shot peach schnapps
  • 2 shots lemonade
  • 3 shots sprite (Olivia gives a club soda option as well)

In a tall glass, fill it 1/4 with ice, then add the vodka, peach schnapps, lemonade and sprite.  Stir up and enjoy!

With all of these refreshing cocktails I'm making, I REALLY want summer to be here so that I CAN sit in my back yard and watch the kids play while sipping on these great cocktails!!  Thanks again Olivia for your amazing creation!!

Cheers!!

  1. What a great name! The perfect image of what this cocktail tastes like. It isn't fancy, or out on the town.. it's just at home with your feet up.
I'm looking forward to trying the lemon sparkling water too now.
Thank you for all the inspiration that you're packing into this blog!
