Pierced Fuzzy Navel
4 shots out of 5
I have to say, I can't believe that I have made and tried 91 cocktails so far!
It amazes me how many cocktails there actually are out there!
I have not been struggling to find a cocktail at all and have received some absolutely wonderful cocktail recipes from a lot of my readers!
When I started my blog I made a list of some of the common cocktails that I had heard of, asked some of my friends to tell me their favorite cocktails for me to make on their birthdays and hoped I'd get a bunch of new recipes from all of you. I am well on my way in fulfilling all three of those and trying to divide my cocktails up evenly between them all.

I gave tonight's cocktail 4 shots out of 5.
Like my Fuzzy Navel, this is another good cocktail.
The grenadine gives it a little touch of cherry flavor, but does not over power the peach flavor from the peach schnapps.
I think if I had to choose, I'd prefer the Fuzzy Navel itself over the Pierced Fuzzy Navel.
There's something about a cocktail that has a couple ingredients and when you add grenadine to it.......it kinda gets a syrupy flavor in your mouth after a couple sips.
I'm not really fond of that.
The amount of grenadine in this cocktail (or at least the little dash I put in) doesn't ruin it by giving you that flavor in your mouth which is good. I am just always a bit apprehensive to add it into such simple cocktails, that's all.

Here is the recipe for a Pierced Fuzzy Navel:
- 1 shot vodka
- 1 shot peach schnapps
- 1 shot orange juice
- dash of grenadine
In a cocktail glass (or bud vase like I used), fill it almost to the top with ice. Add your vodka, peach schnapps, orange juice and stir. Pour your grenadine right down the middle.
Here's to Fuzzy Navels and Pierced ones!
Cheers!!
The Cocktail Lady
it's so pretty! I have a pierced navel, and it's probably fuzzy today because of my sweater...?

Hahahaha, well next time you're over I'll have you try the "drinkable" kind.
DeleteI don't know if you mentioned this before or not. I was curious to see exactly what grenadine syrup was made out of. When we were first married all I drank where what we called Pink Ladies, which has grenadine it them. When I looked up the recipe on line, it is different than what we made. We didn't use egg whites for instance. Anyway, here is the link for information about grenadine if anyone is interested:

Thank You for the link Marianne! It's funny because I had the same question myself last night and went to the same link you just gave us. I would have to say that I do taste the cherry flavor in the grenadine that I use, but it was interesting to me that it was made from pomegranate in the past as well, I never knew that. Cheers!!
DeleteWhere did you get that sexy glass?
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah! Actually, it's a bud vase. I saw it at a craft store and decided it would make a neat/different cocktail glass =)
