All I've been hearing in this house today is "Only 2 more days of school Mom.  Only 2 more days left!!"  

The buzz of summer vacation has most definitely hit this house and will probably explode come Friday afternoon.  

I have to say, I'm pretty excited about it too.

I gave tonight's cocktail 3 shots out of 5.  

I got tonight's cocktail comes from Jan.  

Thank You Jan for "The Skirt".  

I am in "almost" total agreeance with you Jan on the rating of this cocktail.  Jan gave it a 3.5 and I gave it a 3!  

Jan had omitted the sugar completely from her recipe and I had downsized it quite a bit.  

All in all we made just about the same cocktail.  

I have never really had a taste for Brandy, but in tonight's cocktail I do not mind it at all!!  

The lemon juice in the cocktail adds a good flavor to it as well.

Check out today's run to the liquor store.  I just couldn't help myself with the "Little Guys"!!

Here is the recipe for The Skirt:

• 2 oz brandy
• 1 oz triple sec (I used cointreau)
• 1 oz sweet & sour mix
• 1 oz sugar (which seems like A LOT of sugar, so I only added 1/2 tsp.)
• 1 tsp lemon juice

In a short glass, add ice, brandy, triple sec (or cointreau), sweet & sour mix, sugar and lemon juice.  Stir up all of your ingredients really well and enjoy!!
