Sunday Afternoon
3.5 shots out of 5
OK, OK, I know......it's not Sunday.
I'm a day off.....I know.
Once I found this cocktail I didn't want to have to wait a week to make it.
Problem is not only are my eyeballs sweating right now, but my eyeballs sweat is sweating too!
Here comes our crazy late summer here in California!
I gave tonight's cocktail 3.5 shots out of 5.
This is a very refreshing cocktail. Another one I got from barnondrinks.
I will add it to my list of summer cocktails, like my Back Porch Breeze, MCA and Leeches.
If you like pink lemonade I think you will really enjoy this cocktail on a hot summer day......or cold winter night, whatever works.
The peach schnapps works well with the pink lemonade and the grenadine adds a little bit more flavor as well as pinkness to this cocktail.
I would definitely make this cocktail again if I had a container of pink lemonade in my fridge.
This cocktail would also be a great one in a big punch bowl for a summertime BBQ.

Here is the recipe for a Sunday Afternoon:
- 2 oz peach schnapps
- 3 oz pink lemonade
- 1/4 oz grenadine
In a short cocktail glass filled with ice, add all of the ingredients above and stir them up well.
Here's to nice cool refreshing cocktails on a hot summer fall night!
Cheers!!

I know...its a lil late to comment but I been busy! Almost time to leave! I am so excited and believe me when I am sitting in the sun in California/Arizona thinking of all the people back home sitting in the rain and cold I will be drinking more then one of these. I might leave out the grenadine or put very little in. Hey...think olives will work in this one? We can only try.
ReplyDeleteTwo more days and you're outta there! So you've coming this way? Where in CA will you be staying? Olives? But of course!
DeleteSan Diego for sure...we got friends so we get free rent for a week. hehe But since California is so loooongggggg we usually stay somewhere on the way down, after stopping at the HUGE liquor store across the border of course. And we HAVE to stop in Corning at the Olive Pit, so sometimes we stay there. No real schedule so no way of really knowing. Ahhhhh the good life!
DeleteYou're starting out just north of us in a city I never knew existed!! Olive Pit you say?? I just may have to check out Corning and their Olive Pit! Staying rent free with friends in San Diego sounds perfect!! Have safe travels, do stop at the HUGE liquor store across the border, haha.
DeleteOh! For sure you need to visit the Olive Pit...omg. There is also another olive store close to that one (not as good) and a Casino if your into that kinda thing. Hubby is hehe me, not so much but olives, yes I am! What city are you in? You probably said at one point but I was a late comer...remember? Good enough excuse?
DeleteI'm just south of San Francisco. We live in the Bay Area, lol, no I haven't said it yet, so you're right on key! Have a fun and safe trip! Let me know if you have any amazing cocktails on your trip! =)
DeleteOh lucky you! No severe weather there if I am correct. And you will be the first to know about any new cocktails! Thanks for the safe trip wish! Will bug ya more as soon as I can get a connection. lol
DeleteYes you're right, we don't have severe weather. It can get pretty cold and really hot, but nothing severe. I look forward to hearing from you once you get a connection and hearing about your travels! And your purchase at the BIG liquor store!! Ha ha.
