Fiery Apple

Fiery Apple

firey apple cocktail, fireball whisky, cinnamon whisky, appler cider

It's Friday!

I keep hearing the term "Fireball Friday", so this week I thought I'd join in.

Happy Fireball Friday everyone!

OK, so this week flew by......actually the past few months have flown by honestly.  School is back in.  Yeay!  All 4 kids are officially in school!!

This is the first time in 16 years that I have had that.  I will admit, the first day I was home alone I think I had 3 "Oh Shit!" moments.  Those are the moments where I thought I forgot someone somewhere.

Thoughts OH NO did I miss pickup time?  Things like that.  I am happy to report that I have NOT forgotten anyone anywhere, nor have I been late to pick anyone up.  With having all 4 kids in school (did I mention that they are all in different schools?), I am really enjoying the quiet time.....not that I'm not busy.

A fellow Jamberry consultant and I are gearing up for a huge Expo in a couple weeks, so I've been busy making samples, order stuff, etc. for that.

Also, oh yes, I've started Christmas shopping (I can see you rolling your eyes)!  I have to space it all out so that we don't have a large bill at the end of the year.

Alright, onto today's cocktail.

Being Fireball Friday and already knowing that Fireball and Apple Cider go well together, just like in my Fire Orange Cider jello shots, I decided to create an actual cocktail using both.

Now it's been super hot here, so I wanted a cocktail that tastes refreshing, yet has a little Fireball kick.

Success!

This cocktail is no over the top with cinnamon-ey hot flavor because the apple cider tames it a bit.  It's a good light cocktail, but does give you that double hint of Fireball.

Here is my recipe for a Fiery Apple:

  • 1 ounce Fireball Whisky
  • 3 ounces apple cider

Fill a short cocktail glass 3/4 with ice.  In a shaker, add ice and the ingredients above.  Shake and strain into glass and enjoy!

Here's to a fun-filled action packed weekend ahead!

Cheers!!

  1. I have two questions:
Do you keep all of your alcohol in the freezer?
What is the difference between apple cider and apple juice and do you think they are interchangeable?

    1. Hi! Great questions! No, I do not keep all of my alcohol in the freezer. I do keep my Fireball in the freezer because I like to drink it cold, I just can't handle warm Fireball. When you make a shaken cocktail with Fireball it doesn't matter, as it gets chilled in the process, but when you make a cocktail without ice, or take a straight shot of it, (for me) it has to be chilled. Right now in my freezer I keep Fireball and Hpnotiq.

Apple cider has a little more of a spicy (not hot spicy, but spices spicy) flavor to me then just apple juice. Not that the taste between the two is so dramatically obvious, but to me it is enough to where I choose to use it instead. I would think that if you had apple juice, or preferred it over apple cider, then go ahead and use it for sure!
