Apricot Balls

Apricot Balls

apricot balls cocktail, apricot nectar, fireball whisky, cinnamon whisky

Happy Monday everyone!

Today was a BEAUTIFUL day.

The sun was out and it was super warm.

The girls and I sat out on the front lawn and filled out their Valentine cards for their parties on Wednesday.  Wednesday also happens to be the 100th day of school and my first grader's class gets to dress up as 100 year olds!

Too funny!

What does a 100 year old dress like?

Well if you read my Chocolate Whipped Cherry post you would see my "Newly turned" 100 year old grandma and I will be the first to say that she does not dress the way my daughters flier said 100 year olds dress.

The kids are (and have been) playing out in the backyard for a while now and I decided that the warm weather deserves a delicious cocktail to go along with it.......or maybe I just wanted one?

Either way, a new cocktail is born!

This shooter has the perfect ratios of Fireball Whisky to apricot nectar where you can still get the bite of the Fireball, but the apricot adds a nice surprise flavor to it.

I hope you all are having as good of a day as we are!  Days like today make me yearn for the spring weather.  I can't wait to be wearing my tank top, shorts and flip flops every day!

Here is my recipe for Apricot Balls:

  • 3 ounces apricot nectar
  • 1 1/2 ounces Fireball Whisky

In a shaker, add ice and both ingredients above.  Shake and strain into a couple shot glasses and enjoy with a friend.

Here's hoping that the rest of the week is as amazing as today!

Cheers!!

The Cocktail Lady
