Ninja Turtle
4.5 shots out of 5
**UPDATE: It's been over 4 years since I have posted this cocktail and it has been my most viewed and most popular post to date! I am excited about that, but also excited for the TMNT2 movie that comes out today so that we can all enjoy this cocktail as well as the others I have listed below in honor of it! Cheers!!**
Ding, Ding, Ding another winner!! Thanks again Fire Wench!! I had all of the ingredients for the Ninja Turtle, so I figured I'd give it a shot! Yum!!
I have to admit that when I first started straining this cocktail into my glass I got a little scared.....because of it's neon-ey green color. I have to say, do NOT let the color fool you!
This is a good cocktail!! It kind of has a creamy taste/after-taste. It's kind of weird that it has that because you're not expecting it at all, but it's definitely weird in a GOOD way!
I gave tonight's cocktail 4.5 shots out of 5. The Ninja Turtle is even husband approved!
I have to admit that ever since I decided that I was going to make it tonight, I have been singing the theme song to "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" over and over again in my head! And now I will say "You're Welcome", because I'm sure about 90% of you are now singing that song as well!
**Don't forget to check out my individual ninja turtle cocktails! There's TMNT Raphael, TMNT Michelangelo, TMNT Leonardo, TMNT Donatello and Hockey Stick!**

The Cocktail Lady
oooh, that looks yummy! I liked Rafael the best. :-)
ReplyDeleteSee and I liked Michelangelo the best, but I still love you!! Haha
DeleteAdd some whipped cream to it, shake it up, and you have a Scooby Snack (Which you can also top with a little whipped cream). It's our go-to when we can't think of anything else to make.
ReplyDeleteWe had what we call "Shot-a-palooza" this Friday night trying out new recipes with different flavored vodkas. Wish I could remember how productive it was. = \
I'm going to have to pick up a bottle of Midori - you have several cocktails that interest me that use it. And now just the name of this one pushes me over the edge :)
ReplyDeleteOh good! Let me know what you think of them once you try them! I have to admit the fact that the Midori bottle is bright green used to make get a little scared and wonder how something that bright could be good, not anymore!!
DeleteThe Ninja turtle is definitely bright green :) It tastes good, but a little too sweet for my tastes. Of course, I like scotch and bourbon, so it's not too surprising :) I'm still going to try some of the other cocktails that use Midori, though.
DeleteYes, some of the sweeter cocktails aren't for everyone. Sometimes I really need to be in the mood for a sweet cocktail. Glad you're going to try more cocktails with the Midori though!
DeleteFireWench, a Scooby Snack, mmmmm that sounds good! I think the whipped cream will add to it's yummy-ness definately!
ReplyDeleteHaha, you're hilarious! Actually a "shot-a-palooza" sounds like fun!! I've be thinking about making a seperate tab on my blog for different shots, what do you think?
WOW! This is a blog I can follow!
